What CriteriaDesk records, what stays in your browser, and what happens when you follow a third-party link.

This policy describes the current CriteriaDesk.com website. CriteriaDesk is a static decision-support publication operated from Poland for an English-language audience.

What the site does not operate
CriteriaDesk currently has no user accounts, public comments, newsletter, checkout, payment processing, customer database, or advertising tracker. It does not ask you to submit calculator inputs to the server.
Server logs
The hosting provider processes ordinary web-server logs when a page or asset is requested. Logs can include IP address, date and time, requested address, response status, referrer, and browser information. They are used for security, reliability, error diagnosis, and aggregate evaluation of site usage.
CriteriaDesk also uses a small same-site measurement request for a limited set of events: seeing a short answer, review-basis block, disclosure, or decision callout; following a source or internal next step; starting, reaching a result in, or successfully copying a local decision brief; requesting print; selecting a product or platform fit; following a marked merchant or affiliate link; and, only after a decision result in the same page load, making a qualified commercial handoff. The request contains an event name, a general target name, and a validated campaign label taken from utm_content when one is present; otherwise the label is unattributed. It does not contain tool field values, article text, product prices, purchase data, email addresses, an account identifier, a CriteriaDesk tracking cookie, a persistent browser identifier, or the referring page in the measurement request. It becomes part of the same server logs described above and is evaluated only in aggregate.
Information kept in your browser
The site stores the selected visual theme and light or dark mode in your browser’s local storage so the preference can persist. This is not sent to CriteriaDesk as profile data.
Interactive calculations run locally in the browser. CriteriaDesk does not receive the values entered into the automation calculator, billing topology worksheet, or exception and retry planner.
Optional Google Analytics
CriteriaDesk uses Google Analytics 4 only when you select Allow analytics. The site uses the basic consent approach: no Google tag is loaded and no analytics request is sent to Google before that choice. Selecting Continue without analytics leaves Google Analytics disabled.
After consent, Google Analytics can receive page address and title, referrer, page views, limited CriteriaDesk event names, the same campaign label, and general browser, device, and approximate-location information. When site search is used, CriteriaDesk sends a privacy-filtered term made only from words already present in the public search index, or the label unmatched, together with a result-count bucket. The raw search phrase is not sent to Google Analytics. Google Analytics does not receive calculator field values, article text, email addresses, or a CriteriaDesk account identifier. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, Google Signals, and ad-personalization signals remain disabled in the website configuration.
Google Analytics can set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<identifier> after consent to distinguish browsers and sessions. The consent choice itself is stored only in your browser’s local storage. You can reopen Analytics preferences in the footer and withdraw consent. Withdrawal disables the tag, removes the known Analytics cookies, and reloads the page without Google Analytics.
Google Search Console separately provides aggregate search and indexing information; no Search Console script is embedded in the site. Learn more about Google Analytics data collection and Google’s privacy policy.
If you contact CriteriaDesk by email, the message can include your address, name, content, and attachments. That information is used to respond, investigate the issue, and retain a reasonable correspondence record. Do not send sensitive information that is not needed for the request.
Affiliate and external links
Some links lead to third-party platforms, including current affiliate partners Make and Albato, or to ordinary product storefronts. Once you follow an external link, that provider may process data or use cookies under its own privacy policy and terms. CriteriaDesk does not control the third party’s website or tracking. The Home Wi-Fi product links published August 4, 2026 are ordinary non-affiliate links; CriteriaDesk does not earn from them.
CriteriaDesk is not currently an Amazon Associate and does not currently use Amazon affiliate links.
Retention and security
Server-log retention and access depend partly on the hosting provider’s configuration. CriteriaDesk limits use of these records to the purposes above and applies reasonable access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your questions and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal data associated with your email correspondence or identifiable server records. Contact contact@criteriadesk.com with enough detail to assess the request. CriteriaDesk may need to verify identity before disclosing or deleting information.
Changes
This policy will be updated before materially different collection begins, such as adding another analytics provider, contact form, newsletter, accounts, or payment processing. The date at the top identifies the current version.
